Does your Shark ION Robot R75 vacuum no longer charge when it is in its charging dock? Shark ION Robot R75 vacuums are susceptible to a range of problems that could cause them to stop charging properly. Check the following possible causes to identify and solve the problem.

Causes

1

If the Shark ION Robot R75 is not charging properly, the power source may be at fault. Make sure that the charging dock is fully plugged into a wall outlet, power strip, or whatever source of power you are using. If your vacuum’s charging dock is plugged into a power strip or similar source, make sure that the source is switched on.

2

If you have checked to make sure that your vacuum’s charging port is properly plugged in and the device is still not charging correctly, the robot may not be docking properly. Be sure that when the robot is docked, there are no obstructions that might restrict it from fully docking. Clear any debris like socks, clumps of hair, or any other objects from the robot’s docking area.

3

If you have checked that the robot’s charger is properly plugged in and there are no obstructions preventing the robot from docking but the device is not charging, there may be a problem with the vacuum’s battery. Verify that the device’s battery is holding at or near the specified charge time. If the vacuum’s battery is losing charge very quickly, the battery may need to be replaced. To replace the Shark ION Robot R75 vacuum’s battery, see the Shark ION Robot R75 Battery Replacement Guide.
