Does your Shark ION Robot R75 vacuum no longer pick up dust, dirt, or debris as it moves around your home? Shark ION Robot R75 vacuums are susceptible to a range of problems that could cause them to stop sucking up debris. Check the following possible causes to identify and solve the problem.

Causes

1

If the brushes underneath the Shark ION Robot R75 vacuum collect a build-up of hair or debris, the robot may lose suction power. Make sure that the side brushes underneath the robot are clean and in good condition. If you find a build-up of hair or debris, remove the brushes from the base of the robot using the Shark ION Robot R75 Side Brush Replacement Guide. Using a damp microfiber cloth, clean the bristles of hair or other obstructions. If the brushes seem damaged or significantly worn out, consider purchasing replacement brushes.

2

If the Shark ION Robot R75 vacuum’s side brushes are clear of debris and the vacuum is still not cleaning up debris, check the main brush for clogged debris, as well. If you find a build-up of hair or debris in the main brush, remove the end cap of the main brush and clear it of any hair or debris. Use a damp microfiber cloth to clean out dirt or hair built-up on the brush, cap, and cleaning bristles. If the main brush appears damaged or significantly worn out, consider replacing the brush with the Shark ION Robot R75 Main Brush Replacement Guide.

If you have cleared the side brushes and main brush of hair and built-up debris and the robot still isn’t collecting debris, a failed brush motor could be to blame. Inspect the robot to see if the brushes are turning while it is in use. Check to see if there are any obstructions or build-ups in or around the vacuum’s brushes. If no obstructions are found and the brushes still are not moving, the vacuum’s brush motors may need replacement. Use the Shark ION Robot R75 Side Brush Motor Replacement Guide to replace the vacuum’s side brush motors.
