Causes
If you have cleaned off the vacuum’s sensors and its movement is still sporadic, the vacuum may have dirty or worn-out wheels. Inspect the robot’s drive wheels and caster wheels to make sure they are free of any obstruction. Obstructions may include dirt, debris, and hair. If the wheels appear significantly worn, you may want to replace them. To replace the Shark ION Robot R75’s drive wheels, see the Shark ION Robot R75 Drive Wheel Assembly Replacement Guide. To replace the Shark ION Robot R75’s caster wheel, see the Shark ION Robot R75 Caster Wheel Replacement Guide.

If the robot is having trouble moving even on smooth, hard surfaces, one or both of the drive motors may need to be replaced. Make sure that all obstructions are free from the robot’s wheels and that the wheels do not need to be replaced.
