Does your Magic Bullet NutriBullet no longer turn on or show any signs of life? NutriBullet blenders are susceptible to a range of problems that could cause this issue, many of which are simple to fix. Check the following possible causes to identify and solve the problems.

If your NutriBullet is making noise but the blades aren’t spinning, see the NutriBullet Blades Will Not Turn problem page, instead.

Causes

1

The Magic Bullet NutriBullet will not turn on unless it receives at least 120 Volts. Check to make sure that the blender’s cord is properly plugged into a wall outlet that provides at least 120 Volts.

2

If the Magic Bullet NutriBullet’s cord is faulty, it will not turn on because it is not receiving enough voltage. Inspect the cord to see if it is torn or if wires are exposed. If the cord is faulty, follow the Magic Bullet NutriBullet cord replacement guide to replace the cord.

3

The Magic Bullet NutriBullet will not power up if the blender cup is missing a tab. Check the blender cup to see if any tabs have broken off. If the blender cup is missing any tabs, you can use a new blender cup that has all of its tabs in place. To replace a broken blender cup, purchase one on NutriBullet’s website. According to users, it is also possible to find replacement NutriBullet cups at second-hand or thrift stores, or on sites like Craigslist.

4

If the Magic Bullet NutriBullet has been used for extended, non-pulsed use, two electrical components might have failed that can cause the blender to not spin. In both cases, there was probably a smell of hot metal or burning electrical components at the time of failure. One component is a heat sensor which fails permanently if the motor coils heat above 150 degrees Celsius (302 degrees Fahrenheit). The other component is a set of carbon brushes that conduct electricity to the commutator segment of the blender’s motor. Diagnosis of these electrical problems will require the disassembly of the unit and will require an electric multimeter to assess conductivity. Follow this Magic Bullet NutriBullet Activator replacement guide to disassemble the unit.
