letter y on the key does not work
to replace keyboard do you need to replace the the upper board

Before you write off the keyboard here is a video on how to remove a keycap so you can clean thoroughly and perhaps cause the y key to work again. Good luck Ralph

Sometimes just a squirt of compressed air can do the trick, but follow rj713's instructions first and pop off the cap, then wipe with a wet paper towel.
