My Problem

I've already replaced the factory HDD for a SDD but the space was still limited for all the photos that I take to my clinical cases (I´m a dental implantologist btw) so I needed more space to save all photos.

My Fix

Great!

My Advice

Don´t be afraid ! Try!

My Problem

2011 Mac mini was starting to show it's age and needed an upgrade.

My Fix

Repair went perfectly! This kit gave me the tools for the job and the guide was a perfect companion! I was able to add an SSD and now my Mac Mini is running better than ever!

The install went so quick I forgot to take pictures!

My Advice

My Problem

Just wanted more storage, and replaced the system drive with a SSD.

My Fix

It went well.

My Advice

Be mindful of the cable connections to the PCB, and the top drive mounts built into the chassis are hard to locate during reinstall.

My Problem

Upgrade to ssd storage and memory

My Fix

Easy with the instructions. Lifted infrared cable port off card before receiving the package.... wouldn't have happened if I had the tool kit that comes with.

My Problem

No problems but, we replaced our old WD externel drive that started to get noisy with a new Synology TS-251 2-bay NAS external unit and a Seagate 4TB IronWolf NAS SATA 6Gb/s NCQ 64MB Cache 3.5-Inch Internal Hard Drive and thus wanted to have the old Mac Mini updated as well and installed a new Samsu . . .

My Problem

I bought a used Mac Mini, that only had 2 GB RAM, and had 10.7.5 installed on an OEM 5400 rpm standard drive. I wanted my wife to have a really nice computing experience, so I thought I'd upgrade to double HDs, with the new one being an SSD.

My Fix

I threw in a 2nd drive--a 240 GB SSD, and installed 10.11.6 . . .

My Problem

Wasn't a fix. Needed to add a second HDD to my Mini.

My Fix

It was very smooth, considering. Everything in the tutorial was straight forward. Where I got slowed down was self induced. I was very nervous about disconnecting the different cables. Not knowing if a cable was supposed to pull straight out o . . .

My Problem

Order received before the arrival date. I ordered just the kit with no tools. All parts fit perfectly. Installation went with no glitches. I installed a Samsung SSD as the main boot drive and kept the original HDD to increase computer performance. The only thing I noticed was the threads and thickne . . .

My Problem

Increased performance and capacity

My Fix

Very well. The instructions and user comments were very helpful

My Advice

Just take your time. Have another cup of Java and be patient.

My Problem

The computer was just really slow - I was also installing a new 1TB SSD in my macbook pro so it made sense to use the parts that I had in the mac mini.

My Fix

It took a little longer than I thought - stripping down every single part from the inside of the computer was not what I had in mind when I took the . . .
