Ink cartridges ¶
This printer uses HP 60/60XL Tri-Color ink cartridges.
Like any Tri-Color cartridge printer, there are instances where you will find your color cartridge is deemed "empty" because one color in the cartridge was used up first. In these scenarios, it is common to find that the cartridge still has a lot of weight by the portions of the cartridge where there is leftover ink.
The best way to avoid this is to print with mixed colors, so the cartridge runs out evenly (or the waste from the other colors is reduced). If you are comfortable with refilling ink cartridges it may be possible to refill the one color that ran out and not wasting the whole ink cartridge.
