Can a blown screen be repaired?

On Friday night the screen on my eMac flickered and went dark except for a colored line in the center, almost like a light bulb had gone out. The rest of the computer seems unaffected. Can this be repaired?

Thanks!

Mollie

The part costs and labor would prohibit repair.

It it the horizontal sync circuit. I can be fixed but is takes some time for a professional to get to and replace the sync transistor. May not be worth the money. Good news and external montior should still work.

On second look the emac uses a CRT screen so I don't know how feasible a repair would be.
