Unknown Application in System Preferences

I noticed this application called "Growl" in my Other Category of system preferences. I don't know what this application does or where it came from. Cant seem to locate it via finder therefore i cant delete it. Does anyone here know what this application is, and better yet how to rid of it??

NOTE: A google search yielded some results as far as what the application is but I never downloaded this how do i get rid of this???

Its for notifications on the top right corner for various apps. It prob came with another app that utilizes it.

I cant seem to find this "Go To Folder" option in finder.

In finder select go and then arrow down. Go to folder is one up from the bottom of the list. Ralph
