Causes
Dirt and debris build up can obstruct the mouse sensor’s communication with the mousepad. Use a cotton swab with isopropyl alcohol to gently remove dirt or dust. Ensure your mouse pad is clean and is not glossy or reflective. If the sensor is broken, use the Alienware Pro Wireless Gaming Mouse Optical Lens Replacement - iFixit Repair Guide to replace it.

The mouse's Dots Per Inch (DPI) setting, which controls cursor speed and sensitivity, may have been lowered. This can happen if the dedicated DPI button on the bottom of the mouse was accidentally pressed, or if Alienware Command Center (AWCC) sends a reset command.
There are multiple ways to fix this problem.
- Press the DPI button on the bottom of the mouse to choose the desired DPI.
- Update Alienware Command Center to the latest available version (v6.6 or later).
- Reset the mouse to factory defaults.
- Open Alienware Command Center (AWCC).
- Go to Settings > Update.
- Click Restore Factory Defaults and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Click the Save Preset button in AWCC.

When the battery percentage of the mouse drops below a certain level AND Pro-Mouse Battery Saver is ON in the Alienware Command Center (AWCC), the polling rate (or how often the mouse talks to the computer) will automatically lower to save power.
There are several ways to fix this problem.
- Charge the mouse or use it in wired mode.
- Update Alienware Command Center (AWCC) to the latest version. Dell has provided fixes in newer versions (v6.3 and later) that prevent the polling rate from dropping when Battery Saver Mode is active.
- Manually switch OFF Pro-Mouse Battery Saver in the Alienware Command Center.
- Open Alienware Command Center (AWCC).
- Navigate to the AlienFX section (or click on your mouse's image on the DASHBOARD).
- Select your Alienware Pro Wireless Gaming Mouse from the list of devices.
- Look for the Settings tab/section (or ALIENFX PRESET, then SETTING).
- Find the Battery setting.
- You should see an option to configure or enable Battery Saver mode (or a Battery Threshold option).
- If there is an explicit toggle switch (ON/OFF) or button for "Battery Saver mode": Switch it to the OFF position.
- If you see a slider for the "Battery Threshold" or "Battery Saver mode" percentage: Move the slider to the lowest possible percentage (e.g., 1%) to effectively disable the feature from activating during normal use or check for an "Off" setting associated with the slider.
- Click Save Preset to apply your changes.
