It was ok. The battery was rather hard to peel out, but after that, the power button procedure was ok.

The guide says to un-hinge the power button before the cable is detached from the back case. I found that I had to take the volume buttons . . .

My aunt forgot the take out of the pocket her iPhone 5S before putting the jeans in the washer machine.

There was no sign of sulfate or sparks on the logic board pins. We need to change the Dock port and probably the Battery but I am waiting on her desicion to spend $80 and it may be work or not.
