My Problem

My laptop's plug was not working properly. After visual inspection, it seemed the power port was the issue. Ordered the part, replaced it, and realized it was the power cable end that was the issue. Resolved ; the replacement part, although replaced for nothing, works as good as factory.

My Problem

The light on the MagSafe connector was slightly visible and occasionally the computer would not charge. Replacing the connector inside the computer seems to have fixed the issue.

My Problem

When my computer was pulled to the floor by dogs tripping over the cord, it fell on the magnetic AC to computer connection. The computer no longer charged; I tried a new AC cord - no luck. My MacBook is 7 years old, so parts were no longer available through Apple.

ifixit sent me the correct in-Board . . .

My Problem

My charger wouldn't play nice with my laptop even though it was new so I figured it had to be the MagSafe connector.

My Fix

I was really nervous but armed myself with my 00 screwdriver and spudger. My sister provided moral support, comic relief, read me the instructions and held a bright light over my lapto . . .

Macbook 2,1 no longer charges or recognizes the battery. Battery is new.

Everything I read suggested the Magsafe board could be the culprit.

My Fix

Magsafe board received quickly from iFixit and the excellent repair guide made things much less scary. Unfortunately, the repair did not solve the problem and M . . .

My Problem

My son's Macbook battery wouldn't charge, and the green LED on the charger wouldn't light. Swapped it with my battery/charger. No luck! So I ordered the MagSafe board from ifixit.

My Fix

Followed the detailed directions. They are truly a time-saver!

Taking it apart was easy. (But isn't it always?)

It was a lot of steps and several very small screws to keep track of but the instructions were right on ......... my only fear was losing the small screws and getting them back in the correct holes ........

my macbook was not charging. Thought it was the charger so went and bought a new charger. This was a generic charger but worked for a little while then went back to not charging again after looking on the internet I found Ifixit went to the repair guides and found the magsafe dc in board repair guid . . .
