My Problem

Installed a third party volume boosting app from the App Store on my Macbook Air. Shortly after the right speaker started crackling!

My Fix

Easy. Followed the instruction guide step by step. You may think you do not need to buy the spudger; don't be fooled. It's an essential tool.

My Advice

Get the spudger. Make sur . . .

A strange cracking sound started when I watched a movie and after some tests, I've discovered the need of the speaker to be changed.

The repair was fine, I'm happy with the results. The speaker have some kind of glue or tape to help the speaker to be fixed. To remove it need some effort but nothing d . . .

My Problem

Right speaker on my MacBook Air blew out when I was using an app to play audio louder than the OS limits... oops.

My Fix

Super easy. Took all of 10 minutes, maybe? Normally I would have had to do the whole Apple Store repair process; this was so much better, and fun.

My Advice

Follow the guide that's here well, and yo . . .

the sound coming out of my mba was terrible. it was broken and i was using external speakers.

Finding the right part from ifixit was great and with the clear how-to instructions it was a cinch. thanks and kudos to you!

May i suggest, that you identify the orientation when you say the "right speaker".

My Problem

My right speaker was distorting very badly.

My Fix

Fantastic. Couldn't have been easier. The tools and guide are fantastic. Replacing the speakers is a pretty simple task when you have the correct tools.

My Advice

Be very careful when tightening the screws. They are small and somewhat soft and you can strip the heads . . .
