Battery is not charging, no green light

Hello, my MacBook late 2006 is working properly with Magsafe and also with a charged battery, but there is no green light at the Magsafeconnector nor I can charge the battery. I have a second MacBook wich is working, I changed magsave, battery, the batteryconnector inside and also the magsaveconnector, nothing helped. Of course i did all the things from the Apple page, unfortunatly no sucess. So I think there must be a problem with the DC charging circuit on the Logicboard.

Does anyone have an idea?

I think you might be right about the DC board- before you rip the thing open, however, I'd suggest taking to an Apple store and getting one of the Geniuses to look at it.

It's a commun issue with the MacBook and MacBook Pro models after a liquid spill. Is it what happened ?

You tested all the parts related to the battery charging system so the logic board seems to be the culprit. I had the same problem last year with a MacBook and I found a good shop that repaired my logic board. I paid $200 for the repair. thanks a lot for your answers. @lemerise, no there was no liquid spill, it just apeared, and I´m living in Germany, so repairing in canada is impossible. But maybe someone can tell me the problem on the Board, so I can fix it myself. Thanks for helping me,

Well, according to Doug the guy who repaired my logic board the problem was the the battery charging socket on the logic board. The male connector has many pins entering in holes (logic board's socket) and there was bad contact of the pins inside the socket. I had a liquid spill there so maybe there was corrosion in the holes where the pins are making contacts. I don't know how he repaired it but when i received the logic board the connector was kind off glued to the socket. Must be a special conductive glue that he used. I also had other issues with this motherboard and everything was repaired. You may try to know more from Doug but I'm not sure he's gonna give his tricks LOL....

Interest to see if any one else has a comment. My issue arose after burning a dvd file. I left it doing it's thing and got up the next morning - dead!

I can't fathem it out as my little book is pretty new and never left the house.
