Stuck at "Press Home to upgrade" with broken home button

I just recently factory reset my old iPhone 5S to iOS 11.x (don’t know the exact version), and after doing so I tried to restore my old apps. But after doing so, my phone rebooted and got stuck with the message “Press Home to upgrade”, sadly my home button isn’t functioning so can’t get past it. I also had AssistiveTouch on, so I could use it to proceed but the button just isn’t responding.

Also literally nothing happens when I connect my phone with an USB cord, it worked fine 5 minutes ago but after this white screen, nothing happens. The phone boots up when I insert the cable in an offline state.

I am really close to just throwing against the wall because I fear that there is literally nothing left to do.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Just grab a different button and plug it in. The phone isn’t connecting to usb because of the annoying “usb restriction'“ that is enabled by default. The phone will refuse to make a data connection (to a computer) until you enter the passcode, and to do that you need the home button.

Sadly I don’t have a random button laying around the house.

Your only option is buying a new home button.
