My MacBook A1181 (black) wont turn on?!

my mom has been using my macbook for over a year now and two days ago informed me the keyboard wasnt working then it stopped powering on all together...not sure the why or how but she told me it had no for warnings and was out of no where... tried taking top plate(cover) off... its currently dismanteled on my table... the battery hasnt held charge for as long as i can remember... when i try to plug it in the charger plug stays green always green i get no other lights on the computer itself... not sure how to trouble shoot but am mechanically inclined (for the most part) any advice in lamens terms would be appreciated., thanks

Before we go to far the question is was there a spill. If so use the linked guide. If no spill lets try a couple of things. Since the unit is currently disassembled remove the pram battery. Link provided. Then remove the battery and try to turn the computer on with both batteries out. If the computer boots with both batteries out then you should obtain replacement batteries and install them. Be sure to allow the battery to charge for a least 30 minutes before you try to boot.
