How can I fix a short in the wire?

I have a Linea pro flat iron with the pants clip. There's a short in the wire and I have no idea where to get it fixed.

Update (04/01/2019)

How could I fix one myself. No wires are exposed. I could take a picture

I believe it is where the wire connects. It can swivel and I think it's there. It's a old Linea pro leopard print.

See if either one of these guides will give you a clue as to how to open it up to check it for burned components. Use a multimeter to test it for continuity to find the problem.

hello Sora, if you fix it your self it would be cheaper on you. For a shop to fix you would want to compare cost of product to repair cost. Most likely the short would be at the point of where the wire comes into the main unit being pulled out or to short in wire length overall.
