No display but detected by iTunes.
Sold an iPhone 6 to a customer back in May. It’s back in our shop with no display on screen. The phone is dectected by iTunes and in recovery mode but even with a restore still no display.
I have tried other lcds and problem persists. From my experience it doesn’t seem to be a backlight, nothing at all not even a dim sign on life on screen.
Thanks
Is this a good question?

Try using a flashlight to make sure it's not backlight. After that I would guess the cumulus on that weak iPhone 6 frame

You have tried other lcds, so it may be the motherboard or connectors.

I have this same issue. Trying to fix my father’s iPhone 6. He jumped into a lake with it.
The phone will turn. It’s detected by iTunes when I plug it into my Mac. I’ve replaced two different displays and each one doesn’t work. I also tried those display on another iPhone 6 and they work fine. So, I’m ruling out that I need to replace the screen.
I think it’s something on the logic board, but I have no idea what. My guess is that I need to replace the LCD IC. Has anyone ever done this? Should I explore other suggestions? Really need your help.

How to fix no image / black display for iPhone 6

The backlight driver is underfilled and heavily protected from water on the iPhone 6. That is not a failure point for water damage—you have a long road in front of you if you want to learn microsoldering and diagnostics to bring back backlight in a wet iPhone 6, but it is possible.
