Testing logic board inverter connector.

Hi everyone,

i have a slight problem, also that old black screen thing. I've tried different inverters, cables and screens. Now only thing to test, to be sure, is that how I can test my logic board inverter connector, which pins (4 of them) i need to test with a multimeter.

Thanks to everyone.

does external monitor work?

yea it works, also i can see a picture with a flashlight, so no problem with that. What my question is, that when i test with multimeter, is there any possible way that i can short circuit that connector that will do even worse things?

Have you tried to replace the inverter yet? Frankly I've never seen anyone want to test this.

If you bridge two pins you could short out something--be careful.

This is most certainly an inverter issue or inverter cable or connection issue. Did you use the correct inverter and where did it come from. Please give us the last three letters of your serial number so we can direct you to the correct part.

Agreed--with the external monitor working its not the logic board. +

I did not meant that my logic board is broken. I thought that maybe i blowed up circuit which is below the inverter socket on logic board. Because i have 3 genuine inverters, which all work. But i don't want to buy the cable if it doesn't work. That's why i wanted to know if it is possible to test inverter socket, that does it hands out voltage. But there is 4 pin's and i don't know which ones are right to check.
