Runnning Temperature and Fan Operation

Almost any kind of use is causing my 1.5 GHz to run very hot. The fan almost always spools up to full speed after a few minutes.

Not doing any video work with the machine ... mostly just web access with Safari or Firefox and file storage.

It has the original 80 Gig HD it came with, but I did max the RAM (to 1.25G) several months ago.

Would welcome some suggestions for finding the cause of and reducing the heat load.

First I would open it up and blow it out with canned air. Here's instructions for getting to the fan:

We can look at replacing the thermal paste if this fails to solve the problem.
