Spilled Water on PS3 Controller

i spilt water on my ps3 controller and my L2 button stopped working, is there any way to fix it? or do i have to buy a new controller

It sounds like there may be a short on the input board. Check out this guide for access. Check for corrosion or other signs of damage. Using some rubbing alcohol, clean the contacts. If there is a large amount of corrosion, you can use some steel wool to try and get rid of it.
