Hi, It sounds like your wireless card is going bad. Can you borrow a external pc card to rule out problems with your motherboard?

These HP's are infamous for failed Wireless cards. A good friend of mine just experienced the same issue. +

This could be known issue with the Wi-Fi failure in HP Pavilion dv2000/dv6000/dv9000. Could be related to the motherboard failure.

HP knows about this problem.

the new environmentaly friendly, leadfree, solder that is being used in these it the major problem here. it has a higher melting point but it is more brittle than the leaded solder. Generally you will lose the wifi first then expirence screen/video problems next. There are three ways to fix it. 1 Reflow the solder 2. replace the motherboard. 3. Reball(replace the solder) the chipsets. method 1. is cheap, but will ultimately fail, 2. is more expensive but refurbed/used/new boards all have the same leadfree solder and 3. Reballing is the best fix but very few people do them. check out http://www.laptopreballing.co.uk for more info. FYI I have no affiliation with them but I have firsthand experience with the repair quality that they provide.

This only has to do with the GPU problem. Unless it fails you won't get help on this link.
