Looks like the display of my MBPr is broken from inside. I might have accidentally closed my macbook with the earpods kept inside. There are Late 2013 displays for $299 available on ebay. I was wondering about its compatibility with my MID 2014 model. Can you tell me whether its possible to fit one with the mid2014 model ?

As your machine is still under warranty, you may want to keep it that way. Check with Apple first to see if they will repair it for free since it is broken from the inside. If they refuse, request a "flat rate repair". This should cost you about $320. This will also keep your original warranty in effect. Consider extended the warranty two years with AppleCare (this is a debatable step), but it's according to how rough your are on your machine.

Only difference is webcam connector, compare it to your webcam connector. Early 2013, and 2012 have narrow webcam connector; late 2013 and 2014 have wide webcam connector. This should work fine, but I would still check pictures of that webcam connector and your webcam connector just to make sure.
Also keep in mind eBay parts are almost always $@$*.

That is narrow webcam connector. I am guessing because that eBay, out of focus cellphone picture sucks. If your machine is 2014 it will fit, but the webcam connector will not.
Do you use your webcam? Does anyone use that thing besides sex workers?
