turns on and then off after 2 minutes

Hey, so Ive got an Iphone 5 and the other day it just randomly turned off. I can turn it on again, and it will work for about 2 minutes, and then it will simply turn off again. If the phone is plugged in, then the same happens, but this time the screen will turn pink with a red and yellow grid before it shuts off. Thinking it might be the battery? Anyone experience anything similar?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Plug it into some kind of third party software like iBackupbot that will let you see the real-time logs. You can get a clue what is going on.

Something like this can often be battery---more specifically a failure of the board to get info from the battery. The LCD colors sounds strange for that though...

I'm just trying to figure out what to replace Haha, there's defiantly something wrong, but I don't wanna put too much money into it. So what should I look for in the logs? And do you think replacing the batter will fix it?

look in the logs for any error that says "battery gas gauge" or "battery temperature"

Will do, thanks! I'll try to keep you guys updated

celil99, since it does the same while plugged in, the chance of the battery being the cause are slim. I'd still replace it as well as the lightning connector. While doing the replacements, check your board for any missing, or charred looking components. Also check your battery connector. Re-evaluate after all that.
