when I turn it on,i get flashing question mark.

I tried to reload os with software install disc.it starts going then computer freezes up.i then have lines lika static accross screen.i can't do anything after that but restart.i have even replaced hdd.still same.anyone seen this before

That's the lines on the screen and possible freezing... It could be "revived" for a while with a reflow, longer with a re-ball, or maybe it's time to get a new box.

The flashing ? means no boot system folder found because you didn't complete an install.
