It should be almost the same as the 20" so I am including a link for that unit. Good luck Ralph.
It is pretty similar to the 20" guide, but there are a few gotchas. I just went through the process today, and I had to improvise/figure things out a bit. Your mileage may very.
And that's that. Just backtrace and all will go well. It's actually easy to put back together than to take apart. Good luck!

+ Really excellent answer and observations. I agree with you on step 3, I use the card after releasing the bottom of the frame and from the front. Your EMI shielding has been removed. Hours of time can be saved by using a heavily magnetized torx her, especially on reassembly. Here's the tool: http://www.ifixit.com/Tools/Magnetizer-D...
Those cables only exist on a few machines but another small cable is close to the Display Data Cable. I use Kaplon tape to hold the heat sensor in place. Please take pictures next time. You would make a good guide creator. Welcome to iFixit, glad to have you!

Thanks! Hopefully someone will find this useful some day. :)

That day has come. Your write up was invaluable. I apparently have the exact same model as you, as everything you said was bang on.
However, I'm not sure about your #2 (squeeze the clip really hard). If it's the same long black handle-looking clip that the screws go into on the 1 side, then once the screws are removed, it just easily slides out of the way (to one side, then up and out). It looks like it was designed this way.
But other than that - GOLDEN! Thanks!!

Thanks for the great guide and awesome additions for the 24" version!
Quick question though: I'm still not sure if I can upgrade the HDD with any make/model or not. Some sites state I need one of a few types that will work (something with thermal sensors). But I'd really like SSD... any thoughts?
