will not run off of battery

My MacBook runs perfectly when plugged in but will not run at all on the battery alone. I have replaced the battery with new one but still nothing.

It's a common issue if you spilled any liquid on the MB and the logic board needs to be replaced or repaired. In both case (liquid spilled or not) you could remove the battery connector from the logic board and reseat it tighly. If it doesn't solve the problem then the battery charging cable or the logic board is the culprit.

Try resetting the SMC. After that I recommend replacing the battery connector cable, but if that does not fix the problem, then you may have a failing logic board.
