How to remove cameras from iPhone 5C

Is it possible to remove or physically disable the front camera on the iPhone 5C? On the 4 the front and back cameras could be disconnected and removed, but the front camera on the 5 series is connected to the proximity sensor and flex cable.

This is for someone who works in a secure military facility and the phone can't have camera features.

Thanks for your help.

You really need a phone that does not have camera capabilities. Let's say you are a spy. you tape over the camera or internally disable it on day one thru 6, it passes inspection. On day seven you remove the tape or enable the camera, take your pictures, betray your country, enable a lot of people to be killed. You get caught and the guard who let you pass goes to Leavenworth for 20 years. Just do the right thing, change jobs if you have to have a phone that takes pictures in a secure military facility.

I think a piece of duct tape should do.

Sure. Just pry the camera unit apart without damaging the cables.
