My iPhone 5 screen will not close all the way after installing the new screen

yes it will.
of course, you'll have to figure out where your frame is not square and dremel tool or g-tool it back to square, and make sure you've got your side screws correctly screwed in and that your battery isn't bumped over too much. But it will close! Careful not to crack it!
