iPhone 5 water damage

Hello

I have an iphone 5 which is water damaged

I've soaked it into a bath of isopropyl alcohol during a night

After drying

i've tried to test it but nothings happened

only the motherboard is heating up..

Could you help me ?

heat = a short on the board.

You need to desolder the EMI shields in order to expose most of the board. Find the components that are oxidized--reflow the solder on those components and replace those that are damaged.

clean flux, wash again, dry, assemble with new battery into a test housing and see what you get.

If this isn't feasible, then send it out for a professional water damage repair---be sure to ask if the company plans to follow the steps outlined above, otherwise it will be the same as you've already done.

I haven't desold the EMI shields

i think too that i have oxidized components under the shields

tomorrow I'll try to do that
