a1139 power supply connector

My factory power supply is fine. POS ex wife tripped over the thing so many times the barrel-connector at the end finally wore out right at the connection. i'm on a tight budget and can solder another on if there's a replacement available (pref with wire leads in place). do you guys have any idea where to run one down? And by run one down, I mean the actual barrel-connector at the end of the power supply.....

Thanks,

Matt

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

The pin that sticks out is still intact? If so, and if you are desperate enough, you can try to fashion another one out of metal and solder it on. But otherwise you are better off buying a new one, since you don't want to risk the DC in board breaking.

Jesus Christ! Do any of you speak the Queen's English?

I really don't know how much more simply I can state this....I just need the little "lighted" barrel-connector at the end of the external power adapter....not the $79 INTERNAL board.

Well, I won't ask a 3rd time. READ!

I understand you Matt, that's because people are too distracted by the pursuit to gain experience points and not focusing on the question or proper solution. It's like a rat race for experience points in here. lol Wait till one of the more knowledgeable vets sign on, they'll help you.

As far as ur dilema, u might be able to do that if u find a mag safe power supply thats no longer working for other reasons, or just buy the whole mag-safe power supply used on ebay.

I just read it wrong, I am not in pure pursuit to just get points. I am on this site every now and then to help out, and I'm not hawking down every single question I can just for the points. I am sorry that I have misread the problem, but you do NOT have to accuse me of fishing for points.

We have all read a question wrong a time or two. Accordingly I am giving you a plus to wipe out that minus. I see the OP has asked the question again and received an answer so I trust all is good. Ralph
