iPhone 4S keep searching for network after replacing battery

I just replaced my 4S battery myself. the issue I'm facing after doing so is to have my iPhone keep searching for the mobile network. Even after fixing the date & Time, and reseting the network setting the issue has not been solved yet.

Any idea what is the problem????

does it has anything to do with WIFI connectivity? my WIFI router has just gone out of order tonight :(

Anyone have any idea to retrieve the mobile network without having WIFI connected?

HELP ME PLEASE

Guys, when you remove the battery in an iPhone 4/4s, it resets the time and date to somewhere around 1970.

You have to change the time and date to "right now", then restart, and it will work.

This might fix your problems.

As some people have already suggested, first try switching on wifi, if that doesn't work, try changing the date and time manually to the correct ones as it will likely have set itself to Jan 1970 or something similar when you took the battery out.

If neither works, also try checking the cellular antenna and that it's in the right place (NB. the pics in most of the guides on here actually have it in the wrong place - it needs to go around the left of the standoff then to the right of the metal finger)

You could try a restore in iTunes that fixes the problem most of the time but if you have no internet iTunes won't work as it needs internet connection

I have the same problem but I noticed a tiny part was missing near the port connection on the motherboard!

When it's not the time/date thing in the 4s, then it will be pry damage from removing the battery. Look for missing components along the edge of the board

Do a restore and use WiFi to activate, while it searches for the Apple server insert sim before next option. Do this fast

Easiest way to do. Use your friends iphone, make a personal hotspot with it. join the wifi created by the other iphone and go reset the date and time by switchin it to manual and back to automatic and it will retrieve the info from your friends iphone network. After this restart phone. I tried my home WIFI and it wouldnt work with that because theres no info for apple available.

Had the same problem, phone picked up the WiFi no problem but continued searching for the mobile network. I was able to make and receive calls the entire time, and it had the correct time and date.

What worked for me: I changed the time manually to a few minutes off the correct time, then turned on the auto time and date. The phone reset the time to the correct value and found the mobile network.

Good luck.
