Can I buy a backlit to replace a non-backlit?

My G4 1ghz PowerBook has a broken left shift key. It works, but only if I press the top edge. It has no throw to it and pressing the bottom pops it out of place. I have to press the top again to click it back in place.

I notice you sell a backlit and a non-backlit version and they are the same price. $100 is a bit steep for a keyboard - especially an older one, but fear I might lose a lot of resale value if I try to sell it without it being fixed.

Answer this question I have this problem too

IMnsHO You don't need the entire keyboard,

just the scissors for that key.' If you can't find one here look on e-bay.'''

I myself broke my 'x' key while cleaning the keys with a swiffer and it ripped the key off. I was going to buy a new key board for $100 + dollars.

I got smart and bought some crazy-glue for $4 and glued it in place, worked fantastic and perhaps it'll work for you too.
