How do you reinstall OSX without a storage input e.g. USB/FIrewire?

So how does Apple expect you to reinstall your OS when you need to on this device? I see no USB, Firewire ports. Does it even have a card reader? And can you install whatever apps you want without buying them from the app store? Starting to not like this restricted access ideology...

Apple has the owners manual on line and it says that you restore it through iTunes. It looks to be just like the iPod Touch and iPhone in how you maintain it. It all goes through the data cable on the bottom just like the iPod Touch and iPhone. Here is the link if you need to look:

Go to settings, general, Reset then tap "Earase all content and settings.
