Alcatel Lively Jitterbug Smart3 Touchscreen is Unresponsive
If your Alcatel Lively Jitterbug Smart3 screen is unresponsive, these might be the reasons why!
Software Glitch
If your phone has an unresponsive screen and has been frozen for a long time, it is possible that the software is glitching and needs to be reset. Press and hold the Power Button for 15 to 30 seconds until the device turns off and restarts, displaying the "Alcatel" logo.
Dirty Screen and Accessories
If the screen is dirty, it could interfere with the display. In this case, use a dry, clean microfiber cloth to wipe away dirt, oils, or moisture. Remove all accessories such as the phone case and any screen protectors, as these can cause interference.
Low Battery/Heavy Processing
Charge the device by plugging the phone into a wall outlet and allowing the phone to charge for at least 10 minutes. Low battery and heavy processing, such as multiple apps open, can cause the screen to freeze. In rare cases, a swollen battery may exert pressure on the screen, making it unresponsive. In this case, it would be necessary to remove and change the battery.
Outdated Software
If the screen works intermittently, there may be an update for the software in the settings. In settings, look for “Software Updates” to determine if an update is needed. If it freezes after opening a specific app, try uninstalling it, as it might be overloading the phone's power. If the app is causing the issue, try holding the power button and the volume down button to reboot the phone. A specific app may be interfering with a touch response.
Interfering Third-Party App
Boot the phone in safe mode (by holding Power and Volume Down during boot). This can help determine if a third-party app is the culprit.
