If your iRobot Roomba i4 Plus does not show any charging indicators when placed on the dock, or it powers off shortly after starting a cleaning cycle, follow this troubleshooting page for possible solutions.

Causes

1
  1. Turn off the Roomba and unplug the charging dock from the wall.
  2. Use a soft, dry cloth or a cloth lightly dampened with isopropyl alcohol to clean the metal charging contacts on both the Roomba and the dock.
  3. Check for any debris or dust accumulation that could block the connection.
  4. Plug the dock back in and place the Roomba on it to test if the issue is resolved.
2
  1. Inspect the power cord of the charging dock for visible damage, such as fraying or bent plugs.
  2. Ensure the power cord is securely connected to the charging dock and plugged into a functional power outlet.
  3. Test the outlet with another device to confirm it’s working.
  4. If the cord or dock is damaged, consider ordering a replacement from iRobot or a verified parts retailer.
3
  1. If the battery is older than 1-2 years or the Roomba’s runtime has decreased significantly, it may need replacement.
  2. Follow this repair guide to replace the lithium-ion battery of your iRobot Roomba i4 Plus.
