Motorola Edge Plus 2020 Battery Draining Too Fast

Sometimes new software will include battery optimization fixes in their updates.

Check which apps are consuming the most battery under Settings > Battery > Battery Usage. Uninstall or restrict apps that are draining the battery excessively.

Screen brightness can affect your power usage more than you’d think. Adjust the brightness to as dark as you can see it or use the adaptive brightness feature.

Turn on battery saver mode to slow the drainage.

Turning off an app that connects to networks means that less power goes to keeping those apps connected. Simply go into settings and turn off network connections to each individual app to stop it from further draining your battery.

If all else fails, your problem is most likely a faulty battery, look into getting a replacement. Once you’ve opened the phone, if the battery looks puffy or swollen, then it absolutely needs to be replaced.
