If your Logitech G213 Prodigy keyboard fails to light up when the device is connected to the USB cable, but the keys remain connected and functional, follow this troubleshooting guide.

Causes

Disconnected Cables

Make sure the cable connections are secure. It is possible for USB cable connections to become disconnected.

Dirty USB Port

Check for any debris in the USB port. Even a small particle of dust can disrupt the connection.

Outdated App

Ensure the G HUB app is up to date.

Backlight is Off

Hold the Backlight Key and Press 0. This acts as the toggle button for the RGB backlight system.

Incorrect Software Settings

Make sure your settings are up to date.

  • Open the G Hub application on your device
  • Click on dropdown menu and navigate to Settings page
  • While in App Settings, look in the top right-hand corner for Software
  • Click on Check for Update
  • Follow on-screen instructions

From there try reconnecting the keyboard to the device.

Ensure firmware is up to date so the devices are properly communicating.
