If your HyperX CloudX Flight headset microphone will not detect sound input from the user, follow this troubleshooting guide.

Causes

1

The device should come paired to the USB adapter from the package. However, if the microphone is not working properly, repairing the device may fix the issue.

  • Make sure the headset is powered off. Plug the USB adapter into your Xbox.
  • Use a small pin to press the small button located in a small hole on one side of the USB adapter. After 3 seconds, it should begin to blink.
  • Press and hold the headset power button for 10 seconds to enter pairing mode. The headset LEDs should begin to blink.
  • After the USB adapter and headset LEDs stay a solid light, they are now paired.
2

It is possible the microphone is not inserted properly. Inspect the detachable microphone that is packaged with your HyperX CloudX Flight.

  • Ensure that the 3.5 mm jack connector is clean and intact.
  • Ensure that the 3.5 mm jack port on the device is free of debris and in good condition.
  • Insert the microphone back into the port until the microphone is seated firmly within the device’s port.
3

Check your device’s settings to ensure that you are using the correct input device.

  • From the Xbox homepage, go to Profile & System>Settings>General>Volume & Audio Output.
  • Under headset settings, ensure your device is selected.
