Causes
Dirt and sticky residue can jam the buttons. Inspect the buttons for visible buildup and clean the exterior with isopropyl alcohol. Press each button to check for a distinct click. If a button feels mushy or physically jammed, you will need to open the device to clean underneath the rubber membrane.
- For the external buttons, use a slightly dampened microfiber cloth to wipe away dirt and grime.
- Use a soft cotton or microfiber swab with a small amount of isopropyl alcohol 70% plus to gently wipe the silicone membrane clean.
- Don't spray or pour cleaner or isopropyl alcohol directly onto the device.
- Never use harsh cleaners like bleach, acetone, or abrasive cleaners.
- Make sure the buttons and membrane is completely dry before you use the device again.
