My Problem
Upgraded an old white Macbook from a 80 hard drive to a 500G hard drive and the RAM from 1GB to 4GB. Took me maybe 20 minutes. I then moved OSX and the Adobe Suite, using Super Duper, a great product, from an external drive and now the computer runs faster and some software that wouldn't run before opens and runs perfectly
My Fix
The guides told me everything I needed to know and, of course, having the right tools made all the difference.
My Advice
Get everything, tools and hardware, from IFixit and you can't go wrong. Oh yes, and don't force anything. If it doesn't feel right you are probably doing something wrong, like trying to instal the RAM wrong side up, check the guide closely
