iPhone 6 repair, TouchID didn't work

Shattered screen, worn battery

My Fix

I replaced the shattered screen and worn battery on an iPhone 6. The repair went smoothly except the TouchID no longer worked after the repair. It appears that something was wrong with the long flex cable on the replacement screen from ifixit. After transplanting the long flex cable from the original shattered screen TouchID started working.

My Advice

Keep the original screen in case you need to harvest parts from it, like I did.
