Difficult

My Problem

Battery did not hold charge like it used to, cycle count ~950. So bought a OEM replacement from iFixit.

My Fix

Like all Apple repair, pain in the @ss!

My Advice

Do not remove motherboard! Use a twisted nylon 1/8 gauge string (youtube reference) and wedge the string underneath each battery cell...and move like how you would normally floss between your teeth! Do not use a fishing line, a dental floss or any other smooth surface string. You actually need the string to be somewhat coarse and have a twisted or braided construction so it functions like "teeth" to cut into the glue between battery back and aluminum chassis. Also, use IPA alcohol after you have removed battery back to dissolve remaining glue and clean the surface.
