MacBook Pro - EZ Hard Disk To Get To With iFixit Help

My Problem

Model 1229 qualified for NVidia video chip recall. I get a new logic board free of charge but I need access to the SATA HD to backup my data. IFixit tools + repair guides + Yahoo! vids = EZ process.

My Fix

Not complete... Accessed the HD but I need a PC Win OS solution to naked drive read the data on the HD. Can only find Mac backup solutions. Hmmm, an excuse to buy a new MacBook with max RAM and massive SSD? Looking to backup the BootCamp, XP Pro and Leopard partitions on the original drive. Bought the bigger, faster 750Gb SATA HD replacement drive. Will probably max ram too.

My Advice

Get the 18 compartment sorting tray. It kept me organized as I dropped screws in order by section of case removal. EZ to put case back together reversing process with the correct length and type of screws.
