Easy battery replacement but not the extended life I'd hoped for

My Problem

Screen was puffing out; battery had PREVIOUSLY been replaced by Apple under their extended repair program but they wouldn't cover it again and I didn't want to spend the time dealing with a Apple Store visit.

My Fix

Following the guide was smooth and easy, except the tricky part of how SOLIDLY Apply glues the battery in. However, once reconnected, the battery life has not signficantly improved, especially since I just replaced a different iPhone 5 battery with a really cheap replacement from Amazon which has shown at least a 50% increase in battery life.

My Advice

I wanted to support iFixit for all the help their guides have been to me over the years, and I will probably do so again. Watch the super-sticky battery glue, maybe use a guitar pick to help work the old battery out. Modestly disappointed that a no-name battery replacement seems to be outperforming the iFixit component, but the quality of the iFixit tools and the guides especially are worth supporting.
