Simple and straightforward

My Problem

Classic iPhone 5 battery problems. My phone wouldn't hold a charge, or would randomly drop to 30% at times.

My Fix

I used a kitchen knife magnet with blue tape along one side to keep track of the pieces and stages. I used screenshots of the instructions on my iPad while I took the phone apart. It went surprisingly well, and was my first time repairing a device.

My Advice

There are FOUR connectors keeping the screen attached to the body. One is hidden under another. The photos in the instructions only show three. Stay calm, be patient, and label each piece as you remove it.
