My Problem
My iPhone 5 began acting erratically so, I just upgraded to a iPhone 6 and threw the 5 in a drawer. I saw your website and though I could fix it as a secondary phone in case the iPhone 6 had problems. Plus I travel internationally so it gives me a phone to use out of country by just dropping in a chip.
My Fix
I very carefully followed the instructions and everything appear to go smoothly....however, once the new battery was in it would not take a charge. I got discouraged and considered throwing it away. However, I took the chip out and it took the charge perfectly.....
My Advice
Before you charge the new battery....take out the chip.
