My Problem
My iphone5 screen was popping out on the left side and this created a discoloration on my screen whenever I press on it. After taking it to the apple store, they told me my battery has swollen, and it would have cost me $300 to repair the phone with them. I decide to fix it myself.
My Fix
I looked at the iFixit guide on how to replace the battery and watched the youtube video. The instructions were very clear and straightforward. I followed each step and were able to replace my battery in 30 min. Now my screen is nice and flat again and its as good as new again.
My Advice
Reassembling is more difficult. The guard over the screen connection has to be slide in a little from the left.
