My Problem
My wife and I each have an iPhone 5. Her battery was pretty shot, and mine had ballooned up - why else would the glass of my screen be pulling away from the case?
My Fix
For the phone with the glass coming out, it was a little tricky opening it. The glass was separating near the camera, without the little bit of trim. So when using the iSclack to pull the other end up, I had to work very slowly. I had to also wedge and opening tool around the bezel trim to help it out. After that, it was fairly text book. The trim needed to be reworked around the glass, but it has settled back in pretty well.
My wife's phone was easier, though when the case popped open, it was a little violent.
My Advice
I'm surprised that the iFixIt team hasn't started recommending JIS (Japanese Industrial Screw) type phillips drivers. You can get a small kit from McMaster. As far back as my PowerBook G4 they have provided a superior fit. They worked great in the iPhone. You'd have to really mess up to strip a screw with them.
