My Problem
My Macbook Pro 17" unibody comp just shut off all of a sudden. I took it to Apple and thankfully they were able to "hard start" my computer and it booted up. They ran hard drive tests and immediately failed.
My Fix
I bought the SSD and installed it myself, very easy with youtube videos and iFixit directions! Once I had the SSD installed, took it back to Apple and they installed the latest iOS for free! It is at least 5x faster than my dying HDD!
My Advice
Make sure to have all battery power disconnected, can fry the logics/mother board! I have made this terrible mistake in the past and thankfully learned from it!
